Are they all simply lost in the flow?

Ten posts a day is a limit that SHUTS OUT ANY rolling dialogue.

--Who set this place up?  

I've never seen a Forum where you can't return to your replies and you can't have a dialogue.

Not even Pravda or an Islamic Forum site is this biased toward TOP-DOWN CONTROL.

Click on your name at the top right corner. Once there click on "topics started" or "topics posted on" to see posting history.

shechaiyah, I think you're on to something here.  My suggestion is that you stage a protest in which you refuse to post again until Simon changes the policy to suit your needs.  I have no doubt that will make a huge impact on the JWN scene.

lol@ sweetbabycheezits... I do understand though... this place is awesome, but a little antiquated... I wish one of you rich apostates would find it in your heart to donate to have it updated... lol... it can be a little frustrating while you're trying to figure out how this place works as far as navigation and approval goes... it just says you're allowed 10 posts a day until you're approved... until I figured out you had to have a hundred posts to be allowed to post more, through a member here, I was wondering what the heck you had to do to be approved... bitching about it, and insulting the forum owners, isn't going to make it any better though...personally, I'm just glad a place like this exists...

I was just approved as a user this morning, I can't even change my user info yet.  it seems...

But, I am really happy to finally be able to post.

It has nothing to do with money.  This site is privately created, owned, and run by an individual.  It is Simon's personal project.  He has made it fairly clear that it will continue to be so.  He does not want to use out-of-the-box software, he wants to write the code himself.  Since it is his site, it is his prerogative.

If one wants a discussion board with a different interface, google is your friend.  There are dozens of them.  Try them all out and pick the one you like best. 

shechaiyah, you sound frustrated with the mechanics of the forum.  It takes a while to get used to and find the hidden bells and whistles.  Once you figure it out, it's really not so bad.

You sound interesting (I like quirky people).  Are you the same shechaiyah that posts on YouTube as shechaiyah's Channel?  Just wondering.

@MS... I shopped around before deciding on this one... I don't have a huge problem w/ the interface, because the people and content more than make up for the little quirks.... plus, like anything, it gets more user friendly as you use it more... I'm not complaining just a "wish"... a guy can dream can't he?

I, for one, didn't take your comments as complaining, WAWYM.  I had similar thoughts when I first joined.  Good news is Simon's working on it so  we might have the best of both worlds soon (posters AND user interface).

The OP, on the other hand, chose to straight-up bitch about the site instead of just relaying a wishlist.
